Moving
March/April 07

After months of planning we are finally moving to new offices just north of Kings Cross which will give us even better facilities and fast access to central London. We are working very hard to minimise the impact on our clients but enevitably there will be some disruption – please bear with us. We are now about 80% there – the new studio number is confirmed as being 020 7700 5775. More, once we are 'in'.

It has been our pleasure to work with leading pianist Mary Dullea over many years, here she curates a celebration concert in London for the internationally respected composer and performer John White. Carefully chosen typography with an 'Internationalist' design feel is the order of the day.

Film 2005 – BBC ONE.
Jonathan Ross interviews Ray Harryhausen and features the second book we have designed for him and Aurum/Quarto about his genre defining work. As Mr Ross said, "the book is spectacular... a must for everyone's Christmas stocking... I know I will be asking for one!" The publisher has specifically praised our design for this book and has identified it as considerably increasing sales.

Lichfield Festival 2005. The fourth year of our work for this internationally renowned classical music and arts festival in the heart of beautiful Staffordshire. We rebranded it in 2002 and this year sees a slight tweaking to allow even more flexibility in the print work for the organisers and better communication for their audience demographic. We did it all, from brochures and supporting print, bus and train media campaign, press ads, and website (which doubled its hits this year) providing a cohesive, well structured branding and close attention to detail across all areas of designed work, on time and on budget. Tighter than a Scarlatti cantata.

The Art of Ray Harryhausen. As the first book exceeded the publishers expectations (we told you so) here is the follow up. Drawings, models, storyboards, sketches, thoughts, everything from the great man including more on that skeleton scene from Jason and the Argonauts. It has been a privilege to work with Mr H on this project and only underlines why he is referred to as 'the grand master of cinema special effects' by all the top directors. Peter Jackson who directed Lord Of The Rings writes the intro. Miss it at your peril.

SGP season 2005-2006. When we started working with SGP at their inception just 4 years ago little did we know how stratospheric their rise would be. There are now more Premiership keepers wearing SGP gloves than ANY other brand. We revamped the catalogue this season to a new size, used commissioned keeper photography of Rab Douglas and many more. Jerzy Dudek would end up wearing SGP gloves to save his (and Liverpool FCs) way into the history books by winning the European Cup, making SGP gloves, and our branding and creative direction even more high profile than anyone could have wished for. The result of our hard work? Over 200% sales growth in three months alone – and still growing. If there is a prime example of how TWO:design can help any company grow their sales, reputation, brand and profits this is it. We shot. SGP scored. The team won.

Billy No Mates debut album. New songs. New band. Familiar face. Duncan from Snuff takes some time out to do "a bit on the side" and turns in a cracking album which is so well received a hastily arranged UK, European and Japanese tour kicks off. Much graphic shenanigans ensue. Check it out. You won't regret it. All shark faces allowed.
